Welcome to the Rowallan Park Kingston Uniting                            Church Website

The current Corona Virus Pandemic.

In accordance with Medical, State and Federal Government advice the congregation will no longer worship together on Sundays or meet in groups as a way of protecting vulnerable people and hopefully reducing the spread of the virus.

These are unprecedented times and there is no road map for where to from here.

Our primary objective is to care for our congregation members, staff and members of the community. We realise these decisions effect people in different ways:- Should members of the congregation or the community wish to make contact with the church there are a number of ways to make contact:-

Our face book page which includes a letter circulated to members                                   communicating the decision not to worship together

Please feel free to contact:-

  • Claire Wherrett: Pastoral Care Coordinator – Ph 0417 306 762
  • Rev Micheal Duke: Minister – Ph 0437 884 600  Email: dukey@adam.com.au
  • Irene Nichols: Administrator – Ph: 0438 085 744

In these uncertain times let us share a prayer from the Moderator of the Uniting Church Victoria and Tasmania:-

  • As we approach the end Lent and recount the stories of Passion Week and the raising of Easter hope and renewal, may we remember and know:
  • God is with us
  • God walks with us
  • God is one with us, in all the realities of our lives;
  • In God we unexpectedly find hope in life and new ways of being.
  • In the grace and hope we have in Christ, may we find our life together.                                                                       –oo0oo–

We are a pretty relaxed bunch and accept people as they are. Whether you are interested in coming to our Sunday services, would like to come to one of our events, are new to Kingston area and would like just to make contact in order to start meeting people, you may like to explore the beautiful bushland setting of our brand new worship / community centre complex or our new residences of young people with disabilities. You are most welcome.

We are a growing church community of around 100 people, we represent a wide range of ages  and abilities. Our Worship is relaxed and flexible and our music is led by  a wonderful music group.

  • Our Church seeks to be a place safety and acceptance for all people.
  • We acknowledge the  Mouheneener People, the traditional custodians of this land on which we gather to worship and serve.

The Kingston Uniting Church is on an exciting journey where we are building an Intentional Community – the first stage of our Community is a welcoming congregation, in brand new facilities that welcomes the 12 residents in the disability housing on our site, our next stage is to build social/ affordable housing on the site. The congregation has adopted the following priorities for 2016 and beyond:-KUC Consultation Report Oct 2016 KUC Vision and Mission Statement – Oct 2016

  • Radical hospitality
  • Passionate Worship
  • Risk-taking mission and service
  • Intentional Faith development
  • Extravagant generosity

We invite people who are searching, dreaming or giving thanks for their lives to join our searching, celebrating and discerning. Together we engage in joining in what God is doing in our world.
